We’ve been waiting a long while for the perfect conditions to do a kiteboarding downwinder from Lassing Park to the Skyway Bridge in Tampa Bay Florida. The tide was coming in, winds were out of the ENE at 15-20 kts and everything was perfect for the trek from downtown St Petersburg to the Skyway.

Our favorite kiteboarding kite of 2022 has definitely been the Cabrinha FX2.. It is like having two kites in one. The 6 line setup is fantastic for unhooked freestyle, but not so great on kiteloops. But the 4 line setup is fantastic for kiteloops and boosting! Both settings share lighter bar pressure than previous year…
