Parawing snowboarding on a frozen lake — a new frontier in wind-powered winter riding.

In this video, a rider uses Kitech Up&Down and SAB ALA DW parawings to snowboard across a frozen lake, combining elements of parawing, snowboarding, and snowkiting into a completely new riding style. The ultra-low friction surface of ice allows incredible glide, high speed, and efficient power transfer, making parawings especially effective in these conditions.

Back again on the Welsh coastline for another day on the search. With only five days on the ground with all the latest equipment from the best brands in the industry, it’s about how you interoperate the conditions. After searching for most of the day we found an insane right hand point break that looked perfect. However what looks perfect, isn’t always the easiest to ride and despite some endless right hand barreling waves, the short daylight hours got the best of us. The wind direction was wrong to kite it, not great for wing foiling and Doug made the best of it on his efoil… Day three on the Welsh coastline plays hard to get, but still delivers the stoke!

Another movie of another Scandinavian snowkite trip (March-April 2025).

📜 We started the trip by enjoying in the mountains surrounding Tromsø as we did in 2023. Then we did several explorations in Northern Lapland, crossing Finland, Sweden and Norway, from one cabin to the next one. No pulka, only our backpacks, skis and 2 kites (Flysurfer Peak4) for each of us. As usual, it was an exceptional and unforgettable Nordic experience. Sleeping in the middle of nowhere and just playing with the elements!
