Welcome back to another video, this time I linkup with good friend Scott and we set off on an epic adventure. To put out bodies and minds to the test as we attempt a 500km Kitesurfing down winder along the Sahara Atlantic coast from Dakhla to Mauritania through the Moroccan Sahara Desert… Its a super tough challenge to complete, not just because of the time spent kiteboarding, the distance, but also the conditions, with super strong winds and light wind shifts, shifting sand dunes, cliffs and dangerous sections of the coast.

Camping each day in tents on the beach, cooking in the desert, and some eight hour days. Shipwrecks all along the coastline and some otherwise in accessible spots to ride.

Behind the Design
For 2024, the Carve feels lighter, faster turning and more agile. We’ve redesigned the whole kite from top to bottom for better drift and more responsive fingertip-light steering. It has a lowered aspect ratio, new panel layout, refined leading edge and profile for more responsive steering and lighter bar pressure, more stable efficient drifting and less pull on the wave face.

A big change to the 2023 Cabrinha Switchblade is the pulley-less bridle system. This is the first year that Cabrinha has done the Switchblade without pulleys in the bridle. This makes the kite more responsive and gives it a better feel for where it is in the sky at all times. What we love most is that this is a kite for every level of kiteboarder!
