Welcome back to another week before the shred, and the be fair so much happened on this trip that I didnt know what to put into this second episode from kenya. I really did have about 2/3 different session each day, weather we where swimming with dolphins, diving, foiling, kiting, surfing… or on calls. It was a truly ‘busy’ trip that did give me a flavour for the area of Watamu.

In short, a wicked place for all the sports, some epic travels to be done there…you meed a good guy on the ground to organise tour trips, tours, boats and kit etc etc. But if you look up the Watersports providers in the area you will find friendly faces!

This is the first time testing out the 12m Cabrinha Switchblade and 12m Cabrinha Moto back to back. This, in my opinion, is the best way to test out kites. Conditions were about 16/17 kts and stayed consistent while riding both kites. Here are some key points from what I experienced:

Cabrinha Switchblade – great boosting, very predictable feel, very light bar pressure, great unhooking. This is my favorite version of the SB to date.

Cabrinha Moto – great boosting, fast turning, a little more bar pressure than the SB, super easy water relaunching
