Can you get more iconic than this? The one and only, Nick Jacobsen dares it all at the BIG HQ Building, designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group.

Nick’s no stranger to exploring the concrete jungle, often kiting in his hometown of Copenhagen Harbour, but the new build of the Danish Architecture studio BIG HQ really caught his eye.

“Walking into the building, the attention to detail is next level. A piece of art.”

The main hurdle was setting up and launching the kite off the roof.

“As soon as the kite was above my head flying, it was such a big relief. From that point the rest was a walk in the park!”

Guys, welcome back to another episode of my vlog. This is day two on the west coast of Ireland as we chase the storms to the best spots in the UK for water sports. Exploring the more undiscovered locations close to my home spots in the Uk and surrounding islands. This is the Free Ride Kingdoms.

In this episode we wake up on the west coast, somewhere near Lahinch… to our surprise, the sun is shining, the wind is blowing and the surf is pumping so we head out with out any plan, to score the best spots that we can find. With all the toys in the van, we are pretty much ready for anything.

After decent spot check, some exploration we finally find a reef break that is hard to access but looks perfect. The whole crew hit the water to kite, windsurf and wing foil this epic right hand reef break. If its kitesurfing, foiling, wing foil, surfing, foil surfing, windsurfing… we will do what it is good for… that is what this project is all about. Having fun, exploring the Uk and getting the best sheds that we can…

I definitely experienced the King Of The Air different this year as a spectator. It was crazy to see how the new generation has pushed the sport into the next level. I can only be super proud to have been part of it and now I’m enjoying it in a different way.
